What does "HTC" stand for?

Spinning Rubik's CubeI kept seeing the acronym "HTC" in the context of smartphones. I didn't actually know what this stood for, so I googled "What does HTC stand for?" and found this explanation on the PDAPhoneHome.com forum.

HTC stands for High Tech Computer Corporation. It is the Taiwanese company which is the OEM manufacturer for these phones.

I then checked Wikipedia and found an article on High Tech Computer Corporation. Cool.

I only knew it as the HTML Component file format. See http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms531018.aspx

I don't know if that's what it stands for. I was curious too but I think its too big of a coincidence that the founders name is HT Cho.
