Babble

I've recently discovered the Babble website. It's basically online Boggle, and there's a new puzzle every day.

I love word games, so when I read about Babble on BoingBoing, I knew that I just had to check it out. I played as a regular user for a couple of puzzles, but then decided that I was enjoying it so much that I'd sign up for the Pro edition.

I sent the Babble link to a friend whom I know loves Boggle, and she replied with much excitement and many, many, many exclamation marks! :)

Here's a screenshot of today's board. There are 95 words in this puzzle and I have found 54 of them so far. Still got a few to go...

Xmas tree decorating (kitty style)

Iris and Fern, two very pretty fluffy-tailed kitties, show everyone how to assemble and decorate a Christmas tree. Very cute.

Pretty grey tabby with pink flower

A friend sent me this picture of a pretty grey kitty with a pink flower. The kitty looks a bit like Tiggy. What a lovely kitty.

The Calico Girls have linked to me!

The Calico Girls (Patches Lady, Mitten Pollypaws and Mistrie Rose) have linked to me from their blog! This is such an honour, and it's the first time I've been linked to from a kitty cat's blog. :)

I've been reading a lot of kitty blogs on my iPAQ recently and the Calico Girls' blog is one of my favourites. I travel a lot and am currently living overseas, so can't adopt any kitties at the moment. I really miss having daily pats, cuddles, headbutts and purrs with little furries, so it's wonderful to read all these kitty blogs and see what they get up to each day. I feel like I'm getting to know these lovely kitties through their blogs and having online kitty friends makes me feel less sad about not having any kitties here with me.

Here are the beautiful Calico Girls (photos borrowed from The Calico Girls' blog, with purrmission of course!)

A kitty and a rooster

Found on Cute Overload the other day. The unlikely story of a kitty and a rooster who've become best friends.

Web Neko

I was looking at the blog of Eric the cat the other day. I saw the cute ginger Neko kitty sitting in the top corner of the page. I clicked on Neko and he started chasing the mouse around the page. Adorable!

Eric said that Oreo had shown him how to add Neko to his page. I followed the link because obviously my page needs a mouse-chasing-Neko-kitty too. For now I've added a ginger kitty, like Eric. Cute.

Kitty cats are prolific bloggers

I've been reading a lot of kitty blogs lately. I hadn't realised that so many cats were getting online these days. I really miss living with kitty cats, so it's very nice to read about what these other kitties get up to each day.

The first kitty blog I started reading was that of Prince Muddy Paws and his friend Myst. These guys are gorgeous fluffy cats and get up to such adorable antics. I read lots of other kitty blogs too, but only sites which offer an RSS feed as I read them on my iPAQ through an RSS aggregator.

Yay for kitties and their blogs
When I adopt a kitty, I think I shall encourage her to write a blog too.

Guinness the tuxedo kitty

This lovely tuxedo kitty is Guinness. He lives with a friend of mine. Actually, Guinness shares his time between my friend's place and another family.

Guinness doesn't have a blog, but if he did, I bet he'd love to join the Tuxedo Gang. The Tuxedo Gang is a group blog written by other tuxie cats. Guinness (if you are reading this?) maybe you should tell all your beans to get you a laptop so you can blog too. BTW, for people not familiar with cat blogging, "beans" is what many cat bloggers call their pet people.

Sleepy Guinness
As you can see from his sleepy little face,
this photo was taken just after Guinness had woken up.

If you look closely at Guinness' tag
you will see that it's actually a Guinness logo

Museum of Non-Primate Art

As the name suggests, the Museum of Non-Primate Art displays art created by non-primates, including kitties and birds. Clever kitties!

If you like the kitty cats' work, then you could get a copy of the book, Why Cats Paint, to enjoy the artwork forever.

If Microsoft packaged the iPod

What would happen if Microsoft packaged the iPod? Hilarious. Found on Mikal's blog.
